"Shipping connects many different countries and cultures - it expands your horizon."

What did you want to become when you were a child?
I was born in Kiel and, therefore, the sea and the ships were always a part of my life when I was growing up. This type of transport has fascinated me since I was a child.
Why did you choose to work within shipping?
Shipping connects many different countries and cultures, it expands your horizon.
What is your best work-related memory?
In general, it’s nice that it never gets boring. You always get to know new people and every day is varied because you can never know exactly what will happen, due to events that cannot be planned. One of the absolute highlights for me was the 50th anniversary of the Kiel-Gothenburg route.
Who has been your role model?
I don’t have a direct role model, but I am inspired by people who do their job with conviction, passion and never stop learning. Those who shut themselves off from new things stop in life.
