Women in maritime
What did you want to become when you were a child?
When I was a child, my mother had her own boutique that she ran. I loved being there and helping her when I was little, so I remember that I dreamed that I would also run a boutique when I grew up.
Why did you choose to work within shipping?
It was a coincidence that I started working within shipping. My family and I travelled at least once a year on the Stena Line ferry to Denmark when I was little, so I have always had fond memories whenever I see Stena Line’s ferries. So when I got the chance to work at Stena Line it was easy to say yes.
What is your best work-related memory?
I have a lot of nice memories from the years I have worked within the company. I think the best work-related memories are all the amazing people I have had the chance to work with over the years, and many great colleagues I still work with now.
Who has been your role model?
I have a few people that have been role models to me in different ways and times in life. But the one I want to highlight on this International Woman’s Day is my mother. A strong, smart, positive and caring woman that has taught me a lot in life, which has helped me both at work and in my private life.
