Here at Stena Line, we are all part of the same crew. We might not work on the same ship or even at sea, but we are all still family (being a Swedish, family-owned company after all). The love for the ocean connects us and like every crew, we have a set of rules to make sure that we stay on course – the Crew Code.
The Crew Code connects all of us to our culture, our values, our behaviours and everything else in between. It will help you navigate across the open seas in conditions that constantly shift and help lead you towards our common vision - Connecting Europe for a Sustainable future.

We are a big Stena Line family and we take care of each other. We all play an important part on our journey and our success depends on our ability to work together as a team. When we collaborate, share knowledge and support our colleagues, we achieve our goals.
Our identity is shaped by our Swedish roots and the fact we are a family owned company. Our founder, Sten Allan Olsson, grew up in a fishing community on a small island in Gothenburg’s archipelago in the 1920’s. On the Island of Donsö the people were grateful for whatever the sea could provide, and our founder learned at a young age that caring for each other, hard work and always delivering on a promise were fundamental values both in life and business.
Today, the value care – caring for customers, caring for resources and caring for each other –still shape our company culture and helps us to focus on what is important.
Our vision “Connecting Europe for a sustainable future” is the prime goal of our journey. The way we see it, it’s all connected. By bringing people and goods together, we enable businesses and societies to grow. This in turn makes it possible for us to develop as an even safer and more reliable company that reduces its environmental footprint, step by step.
