Trade Management Team of Business Region Baltic Sea North ensures daily operations in two routes from Nynáshamn, Sweden to Ventspils, Latvia and from Travemúnde, Germany to Liepaja, Latvia. Now we are looking for a Trade Manager to join our team.
What will you do?
As Trade Manager your role function is to manage and improve the profitability of all sailings of routes in the region through optimal forecasting, pricing, and capacity allocation, ensuring that revenues are maximized and costs minimized
Some of your key responsibilities:
- to develop and implement trade management activities
- to focus on regional profit/loss and gross profit for each route and sailing
- manage short-, medium-, and longer-term optimization of volume and pricing
- to develop pricing models that can optimize both price and capacity to maximize the contribution of each sailing
- timetable optimization
- cost analysis for all aspects of the operations
Who are you?

You have proven management accounting experience from a maritime, transport, hospitality or logistics environment. We’re going into a digitalized phase, so you need strong IY literacy and interest in new digital solutions. As a person you enjoy working a dynamic, fast moving environment. You are intuitive, self-motivated and resourceful, a natural problem solver who can generate preventative interventions. This role requires strong influencing and communication skills, you must be able to develop and maintain good working relationships locally and across functions and group. Being a good leader is important to us, to be able to coach, to learn and embrace continuous improvement. It will be your responsibility to set clear expectations and responsibilities for those whom report to you. With your know business and credibility you can contribute to continuously development of Business region Baltic Sea North.
- Higher education in Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
- 5-year work experience in relevant field
- Fluency in English
