Do you have experience as an assistant duty hotel manager or General manager of a medium large hotel and are you ready for a new adventure? Do you ever think about working on a ship with 3 restaurants, casino, cinema, 2 bars, duty free shop and 538 cabins , which can carry 1200 passengers? What will you do?
In the role of assistant OSS manager you fully support the onboard Sales & service manager with the daily management of all onboard services.
You manage daily colleagues and you are co-responsible for all hospitality outlets onboard of our ship. You identify opportunities for improvement and take pro-active action. You are responsible for the service in our guest outlets and you will also be jointly responsible for the financial results. You optimise OSS financial performance insuring all relevant KPI targets are met.
You coach, facilitate and develop winning teams, and you stimulate colleagues to take the next steps and exceed the service expectations of the passengers. In doing so, you guarantee that facilities and processes meet all legal and quality requirements, including in the field of HACCP and extensive first aid. You are co-responsible for the quality of the services and purchased products.

Good to know
Our ferries depart from Harwich and Hook of Holland, this position is for our ship the Britannica. This Ropax ship carries Travel & Freight passengers, the work involves flexible working hours on a Rota base, and you are partly on call during nights. We're looking for people who will go that extra mile for our customers to make sure their trip is as comfortable and safe as possible.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor degree, preferably in Hotel Management;
- At least 3 years of managerial experience & 5 years operations experience preferably in a hotel environment;
- Prior experience using Microsoft Office required, including Excel- & PowerPoint;
- Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal;
- Strong management and analytical skills;
- High level of problem solving abilities and proactivity;
- Strong at multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment;
- Professionalism, positive attitude and a team player is a must;
- Proven ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact at all times;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Business minded;
- Charismatic person.
