Stena Line has a linear organisation with three business areas based on geographic markets; Scandinavia, Irish Sea and North Sea. Stena Line maintains services on 18 routes, involving eight countries and 29 harbours. Each route has its own profit responsibility.
Stena Line's organisation is strongly decentralised; all decisions should be made as close as possible to the customer and to the market. These three business areas make it possible for us to take advantage of synergies, adapt the operation to suit local conditions and focus on profitability.
Staff functions for finance/economy, communication, technical, and human resources are located at the head office in Göteborg, Sweden. In total we have approximately 5,700 employees, around two thirds of which work onboard.
