A convenient travel alternative

'Making Good Time' sums up the essence of Stena Line's activities – fast, convenient and efficient sea travel. Travelling with Stena Line is about more than just getting from one place to another; it is also about escaping from everyday life, relaxing, spending time together and eating well. A travel alternative that cannot be beaten.

Stena Line's travel products account for almost 40 per cent of the company's revenue. On-board experiences make up close to 20 per cent of revenue.

Wide range of European holidays
Stena Line arranges around 500,000 holiday trips each year in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. The offering includes everything from pure transport assignments to package tours with accommodation and activities included, pleasure cruises and conference trips. Stena Line cooperates with travel agents, hotel chains, bus and train companies and car rental firms throughout Europe.

Specialist in motoring holidays
Stena Line's self-drive holiday package (ferry crossing, incl. accommodation) is available through our wholly-owned travel agents Sembo in Sweden and Buro Scandinavia/Buro Britain in the Netherlands.

Package trips by rail and sea
Rail & Sail are package trips by rail and sea for Ireland and the United Kingdom, organised in partnership with three rail companies. The aim is to enable customers to travel from city to city, for example London to Amsterdam, using just one simple booking process.

Hotel and water world in one
Stena Line owns the hotel Scandic The Reef in Frederikshavn, Denmark, complete with tropical water world The Reef.

Freight
There are numerous advantages to using the sea for long-distance transport: a well-functioning infrastructure, fewer accidents, less congestion and less noise.

Stena Line transports around 1.6 million freight units each year, i.e. lorries and trailers. Freight services account for just over 40 per cent of Stena Line's revenue.'
